Founded by Sammy Margo in 1993, SMARTPHYSIO is a team of chartered physiotherapists treating patients across two London clinics and in their own homes, with the same clinician, or small team of clinicians, and the same standard of care, every time.

Sammy Margo founded SMARTPHYSIO in 1993 with a simple idea: that people recover faster when they are treated by a physiotherapist who knows them, using hands-on care and a plan built around their life. 01AssessmentA full assessment on your first visit: history, movement and a hands-on examination, so we understand the real cause, not just the symptom.
02Hands-on treatmentTreatment starts in that first appointment: manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and techniques such as shockwave or acupuncture where they help.
03Your planA clear, personalised plan with exercises you can actually keep up, and honest timelines for recovery.
04Progress and reviewWe track your progress and adjust as you improve, keeping your GP or consultant in the loop when it matters.

Where are your clinics?
We have two London clinics, Hampstead and Highgate, and we also visit patients at home, in care homes and at workplaces across London.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us as a self-paying or insured patient. Some insurers ask for a referral before authorising treatment; we will tell you exactly what your policy needs.
Are your physiotherapists qualified and registered?
Every SMARTPHYSIO physiotherapist is chartered and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), with the same standard of care in your home as in our clinics.
How quickly can I be seen?
Most patients are offered an appointment within 24 to 48 hours, including evenings and weekends.
