Where does it hurt?

Start with the problem, not the treatment. Neurological rehabilitation, recovery after surgery and everyday pain — choose an area of the body and we will show you how we help, in clinic or in your own home.

“I have seen several different therapists at Sammy Margo’s over many years. Every one has been excellent. When I was recovering from a hip replacement the physio I received helped me recover really quickly. Highly recommended.”

Frequently asked questions

The things patients ask us most before their first appointment.

Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us as a self-paying patient. If you are claiming through private health insurance, some insurers ask for a GP referral first — we will tell you exactly what your policy needs before you book.
How quickly can I be seen?
Most patients are offered an appointment within 24 to 48 hours, at one of our clinics or at home. Call 020 7435 4910 and we will find you the earliest slot.
What happens at the first appointment?
A full assessment, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and a clear plan. You will leave with exercises to do at home and an honest view of how many sessions you are likely to need.
Which areas do you cover for home visits?
We visit homes and care homes across London. Our physiotherapists are DBS-checked and you see the same clinician at every visit, which matters enormously for older patients and for neurological rehabilitation.
Do you work with my insurer?
We are registered with Bupa, AXA Health and WPA, and with most other major UK private health insurers. We invoice most of them directly so there is nothing for you to claim back.
How much does it cost?
Clinic appointments start at £85 and home visits at £95, including the initial assessment and treatment. All fees are published in full — there are no add-ons after the appointment.
Can you help after surgery?
Yes. Post-surgical rehabilitation is one of our largest areas of work, particularly hip and knee replacements. We can start in hospital discharge week and visit daily at home if that is what your recovery needs.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. For lower limb problems, shorts are helpful. For home visits, no equipment is needed — your physiotherapist brings everything.
