Private Insurance Checklist

Smart Physio Practice operates as a private practice providing treatment for self-paying patients as well as patients with private health insurance. 

If you are looking to claim the cost of your physiotherapy treatment from your insurance company, here is a list of what you need to do:

  • Check policy treatment coverage;

  • Check policy excess;

  • Check the date of the year-end of the policy;

  • Call your insurance company and explain your condition;

  • Write down the date, time, and name of the person to whom you spoke;

  • Obtain an authorisation or a claim number for your treatment; and

  • Call us or book an appointment online

The details of each insurance policy differ, so whilst this is general guidance, you will need to check the details for yourself.

If you're not covered by your insurance policy, then you can still come to us as a private patient, and we'll help you on your road to recovery.
