Nicole is an HCPC and CSP-registered Physiotherapist who graduated with First-Class Honours in BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton. Originally from Zimbabwe, Nicole has had the opportunity to complete clinical placements in both the UK and Zimbabwe, gaining experience in a variety of healthcare settings.
Throughout her training, Nicole gained experience across musculoskeletal outpatients, acute stroke rehabilitation, respiratory care including ICU and post-operative management, paediatrics and medical rehabilitation. She particularly enjoys rehabilitation and helping people regain their confidence and independence following illness, injury or surgery. Her experience across different areas of physiotherapy has given her an appreciation of how individual each person’s recovery can be.
Nicole takes a patient-centred and evidence-based approach to her practice. She enjoys getting to know her patients and understanding what matters to them, before working together to set realistic and meaningful goals. She believes exercise and movement are an important part of rehabilitation and enjoys finding ways to make treatment practical and achievable for everyone. She aims to support her patients to feel more confident in their bodies and in managing their condition beyond their physiotherapy sessions.
Nicole is passionate about continuing to develop her clinical knowledge and skills and enjoys learning from both her patients and colleagues. She is particularly interested in the role of strength, exercise and physical activity in improving health and helping people stay active throughout life.
Outside of work, Nicole is a keen runner and enjoys gym workouts and keeping active. She is currently training for her next running challenge and enjoys trying new forms of exercise. She also loves spending time with friends and family, travelling and exploring new places.
